The impact of poetry and the spoken word club
As a lonely and angsty high school student, Spoken Word taught me to see the beauty in my pain and mistakes and turn them into something beautiful. Often times my writing is something I can find myself revisiting no matter how uncomfortable that experience was, creating a form of exposure therapy and a process of self love and forgiveness.
